The 'Perfect' Neighbourhood

They brought her out some chicken. It was plain, cooked, chicken. Not some fancy french chicken.

She ate it without complaint, actually quite easy.

Ed just kinda sat beside her as she ate. It was only proper.

Lan didn't really finish quickly, but did finish. Before standing up, feeling uncomfortable in her chair, and sat in Edward's lap. Highly unproper.

He blushed just abit. It was indeed unproper, and if anyone else were to see..

But Edward forced himself not to care, not even commenting

Lan leaned back onto him, closing her eyes.

For him this was utterly uncomfortable.

Lan didn't even notice, and would probably laugh if she did.

Maids had gone into the room and walked out whispering.

" Could you please.. get off of me..? " he asked, being as self concious as ever.

Lan looked back, opening one eye. She considered, this once, just doing what she was asked of. But, decided this was silly. She just shook her head.

He just went silent, still finding this unseemingly uncomfortable.

Lan eventually got up, getting tired of not getting attention, and standing with a stretch. Intending on going to sleep upstairs.

Ed stood up, pretty much thankful that she got off.

Lan went upstairs to sleep, walking in the room quietly.

And Ed went to the library, not coming out for the rest of the day.

Lan slept the entire day, not awakening at the end of it either.

And when Ed came into the room, he found it surprising that she was sleeping. He got changed, and crawled in beside her.

Sensing someone else there in her sleep, Lan moved closer to the body Warmth. Putting her arms around his chest gently.

This, he really didn't mind. He didn't react physically, just going to sleep.

Lan awoke the next morning earlier than usual.

And Edward was already up and dressed by that time.

Lan sat up and stretch a bit, pushing her skirt down.

...I got nothin.

Lan changed dressed, not even caring if anyone was looking. She did it often back stage, so she was used to it. She just put on a gold and red dress that didn't reach her knees. Yes,(Gasp) her ankles were showing. And, most of her legs.

There was a knock on the door, Edward answered it without hesitation, not knowing who it was, freezing up at the sight of his father.

Hohenheim ignored Edward's stuttering and looked to Lan. " Hmph. It seems you've failed me yet again. It is most improper for you to wed someone of her standards. "

" I don't intend on marrying her. "

" So what is she then? A tool for your use? "

" N-No! How could you think such things? "
